The Proposal
Why Ireland?
Pooja was born in the beautiful country of Ireland. She did not get to experience the true Irish magic because she moved to the States at 11 months old. Pooja has always dreamed of going back to Ireland to experience the wonders and luck that it brings.
Aman decided there is no better place in the world than Ireland to ask for her hand in marriage. So the planning begins!

Aman convinced Pooja months ahead that he will have to travel to Ireland for a business trip. He did not have to try hard in convincing Pooja to accompany him. Already packing her bags, she said, "There is no way you (Aman) are going without me!"
As Aman pondered how to propose to Pooja, he realized that he has no ring to propose with. He knew that there were two people in this world who knew Pooja’s likes and dislikes the best: her sisters. After much back and forth planning, a design was made and then created. He wanted to propose with a perfect ring for the perfect girl, and so he did.
After careful research, Aman decided to propose at the beautiful Kilronan Castle in Ballyfarnon, Ireland. Getting Pooja to the castle was quite a challenge, as she did not understand why we had to drive for 2 hours just to get dinner. To make it seem more reasonable, Aman acted as if he had gotten lost and they rode around for hours before getting to the castle. After using the public bathrooms at a pub to get ready for dinner, they finally arrived at the castle. Coordinated with the castle staff, Aman had already planned for a romantic dinner in the lovely Robert Hall private dining room. The room was decorated with flowers and candles by the castle staff. The hostess took the couple to the bar area, stating that our dinner table is not yet ready...
Nervously waiting for the right time, Pooja asked Aman why he was profusely sweating and looked so pale. “Maybe we should go back to the hotel, you don’t look like you are feeling well at all,” Pooja said. Aman quickly stood up and said, "I’m fine I’ll be right back, I left my wallet in the car.” He quickly went to the proposal room to get ready for the big moment. The hostess told Pooja, that their table was ready and Pooja insisted that she wanted to wait for Aman to return before they went to the table. Finally, the hostess convinced her that Aman said he will meet her at the dinner table and escorted Pooja towards the room. As the hostess opened the door, there Aman was kneeling with a ring in his hand and he said, “I love you, will you marry me?” Pooja was so surprised but hardly took anytime to quickly respond, “Yes!”
